A vacancy is often only the visible problem. These cases show the engineering constraint, the capability that was missing and what changed when the right team was put in place.

Building a deep-tech function from zero.

RIVIAN / RVTECH · AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY · SWEDEN

PROBLEM

A new engineering organisation was entering Lund without a local team, hiring infrastructure or established position in the market. Critical Senior Manager and Staff-level roles had remained unresolved for more than two years.

REMIT

Establish the local hiring capability and build the foundational team around a narrow set of embedded and real-time engineering problems.

TEAM BUILT

Engineering leadership, Staff Engineers and specialists across embedded software, diagnostic algorithms, edge deployment and real-time systems.

IMPACT

Long-standing senior appointments were completed within six months, putting the technical leadership and specialist foundation in place for the local organisation to grow.

Enabling modernisation across 14 Nordic brands.

BLOCKET / VEND / SCHIBSTED · DIGITAL MARKETPLACES · NORDICS

PROBLEM

Marketplace platforms were evolving across different countries, services and leadership structures. As dependencies increased, teams needed clearer ownership and greater engineering depth without slowing delivery.

REMIT

Build the technical and leadership capability required for several brands to modernise in parallel, while strengthening how decentralised teams defined and assessed their needs.

TEAM BUILT

Engineering Directors and Managers established ownership. Backend, Full-Stack and Data Engineers developed the services and information foundations beneath brands including Blocket, FINN and Tori.

IMPACT

The portfolio gained the leadership and engineering depth to evolve multiple platforms at once. A Data Engineering hiring capability was established from zero, supporting continued growth beyond the immediate programme.

UK GOVERNMENT DIGITAL · IDENTITY & FRAUD PREVENTION · UNITED KINGDOM

PROBLEM

A national programme was modernising identity and fraud-prevention services used by more than 20 million people. Twelve squads needed specialist capability across machine learning, software and distributed systems.

REMIT

Define and build the technical capability required for cloud-native, API-first services operating around sensitive data, identity and unusual behaviour.

TEAM BUILT

Machine Learning Engineers, Java and Python Engineers, Cloud Specialists and Distributed-Systems Engineers. Competency frameworks gave teams consistent evidence for assessing specialist experience.

IMPACT

The programme gained the engineering capability and assessment standards needed to continue modernising nationally significant services across data, identity and fraud prevention.

TIER-1 RETAIL BANK / KLARNA · FINTECH · UNITED KINGDOM & SWEDEN

PROBLEM

Financial products must remain dependable through traffic spikes, dependency failures and complex transaction flows. The organisations needed capability across architecture, software, data, quality and technical leadership—and, at Klarna, they needed it during an intensive growth period.

REMIT

Build multidisciplinary teams capable of developing and operating modern financial products while improving alignment around senior appointments.

TEAM BUILT

Engineering Leaders, Cloud Architects, Full-Stack Engineers, Machine Learning Specialists, Data Scientists, QA Automation Engineers and Product and Programme Leaders.

IMPACT

The retail bank gained the capability to move mobile-first products from transformation plans into working services. At Klarna, senior capability was added across engineering, product and programme functions within a five-month growth period.
